Hello from your new Executive Director!

Hi, Erin here. Just finishing up my second week as the new Executive Director of the Historic Downtown Chelan Association. Wow! Jessie has left me such a well-run ship, it’s been an easy transition.

For those of you I have not had an opportunity to meet yet, just a few words on why I am so excited about this new role. Our family moved to Chelan when my boys were 1 and 3 years old. We live 3 blocks from downtown and this amazing business community has been a cornerstone in our life. From our first days, we were regulars at The Vogue – hoping to meet other people and enjoy a good cup of coffee. As my children got older, we’d send them and their friends on scavenger hunts to various businesses while the moms hung out and talked about anything and everything. Fast forward to two teenagers – where our house has become home base for all their friends so they can easily walk to town and hang out. I could not be more excited or invested in a “job” than this new role.

After Winterfest weekends and a trip to the Winter Main Street conference in Olympia, I will be walking around to say “hi” to as many folks as I can!

The Membership and Program Coordinator

Hello!  Kristin (Coleman) Ayling here.  As of July 16th, 2018 I joined this amazing organization as the Membership and Program Coordinator.  I was born and raised in Chelan, and aside from about a ten year period when I was in college at the University of Washington and starting my career in Seattle, I have lived in Chelan and am now raising my own family here.  I am deeply vested and rooted in Chelan and love our beautiful lake community. I look forward to meeting and/or reacquainting with all of you in the days and weeks ahead and look forward to hearing your thoughts as to how we can continue to make our downtown vibrant, inviting and sustaining.
