Winterfest 2010: Just Add Wine!
 Lake Chelan's favorite festival takes place Martin Luther King Weekend, January 15-17.
Fireworks, polar bear splash, community bonfire, snow games, torch light parade, life-size ice sculptures, and a new showcase for the area's wineries are being featured. New this is an Ice Bar with live music, and a Winterfest Wine Walk and nightly winemaker dinners.
The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce 2010 Winterfest is sponsored by the Historic Downtown Association.

Nordic Skiing at Echo Ridge - Excellent!
Echo Ridge is ridge top skiing at its best. With consistent sunshine, dependable snow, and beautiful vistas, Echo Ridge is only 25 minutes from downtown Chelan, 2 miles past the Echo Valley Ski Area. 25 miles ( 40 K ) of groomed terrain for every skill level and a cozy, new warming yurt. Down Hill Skiing and Snowboarding
Echo Valley Ski Area is a delightful family ski hill, only 20 minutes from Chelan. With three rope tows and a 1,400-foot poma lift, lessons, rentals and tubing hill, it is perfect for kids.
Mission Ridge Ski Area, an hour from Chelan, features dry powder, 36 runs over 2,000 acres, snowboard park and more.
