New HDCA Event:  Lake Chelan Taste of the Irish
I hope you are ready to have some fun this St. Patrick’s Day.  It’s great to see so much activity building on the Top Dog Parade.  The day’s events start at 8:30am with the Shamrock Shuffle – a 5k fun run put on by the Lions Club that will start in Downtown Chelan.  Followed by the always popular Top Dog Parade at 12pm.  After the parade, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association is launching it’s newest fundraising event:
The Lake Chelan Taste of the Irish, kicking off at 1pm.
Downtown Chelan will be your passport to Ireland as your taste buds explore some of Chelan’s favorite Irish dishes and libations. This is the first year of the Ale & Whiskey tasting event. Taste local whiskeys at Campbell’s while you listen to live music or visit downtown shops and taste a variety of local ales while you shop.

You can find more details for all the day’s events at  http://www.lakechelan.com/2018/02/st-patricks-day-weekend-getaway/

Merchant Decorated Trees

Please make sure if you decorted a tree for the holidays outside your store, that the decorations are taken down by end of week.  Please let me know if you need a volunteer to help you take down decorations.

Bridge One-Way Project

SCJ Alliance presented their 90% plans for the One-Way Bridge Restoration Project at City Council last night.  I will be working with Jake Youngren from the City and Dan Ireland from SCJ Alliance very closely as we move ahead so that I can provide everyone with weekly updates on construction progress; street closures and anything else that might impact traiffic flow to downtown.

We will have a page on our HistoricChelan.org website where we will also be posting these weekly updates.  The goal is to over-communicate on how the project is progressing.

Please let me know if you have any questiosn or concerns.  I will be sending out documents from last nights meeting shortly.

I look forward to you all soon!
