The City of Chelan is coordinating with several groups around our community for a group effort in cleaning up the town!  The HDCA will be joining:
City Employees
Lake Chelan School District
Chelan County PUD
Lake Chelan Local Realtors
Lake Chelan Trails Alliance

The HDCA is taking ownership of cleaning up our designated boundaries, so if you’d like to come help clean up – let me know.  I’ll have more details on exact timing (early morning) and street assignments.

Woodin Avenue Bridge Project
The Woodin Avenue Bridge Project is ready to get started.  This is going to be a major project and will have significant impact to traffic this summer.  I will be the liaison between the City/Public Works and our downtown business community.  We are going to do our best to keep everyone updated on the overall project schedule as well as a week to week construction schedule.

Multiple Components to Project
* Water line is being upgraded that sits just under the bridge deck
* Sidewalks are being widened on both sides
* Bridge concrete is being restored
* Full paving project
* Converting bridge to one-way and reconfigure of Columbia/Woodin intersection

Multiple Methods of Project Communication
* Private Facebook community where I will be posting weekly updates, you can post questions I need to address (let me know if you want to join).
* Weekly emails to this newsletter list with updates
* Public Works email to interested list (let me know if you want to join)
* Mayor & Public Works on KOZI each week with updates

Here is a one-pager on the project.  It is currently in the plan to keep one lane of traffic open (coming in to town) for a majority of the project.  There are a couple exceptions when the bridge will be completely closed – when the water line is being upgraded and during certain paving times.

Please feel free to shoot me an email or stop by if you want more details on the project.

Happy Spring,
