From your new Programs & Marketing Coordinator. My name is Casey Kloese and I have been working for Historic Downtown Chelan for a few short months. I could not be more excited to serve this community.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and spent my college years living downtown. I know- how did I end up all the way over here? Well, Chelan has a very special place in my heart. I first visited for a girls’ getaway weekend many years ago and I couldn’t believe how absolutely stunning this valley is. I decided to take the leap and move across the country. I told myself that I would only stay for the summer, but here I am almost two years later, and I fall more in love with this beautiful place every day.
Over the last ten (or so) years, I have worked hands-on in the hospitality industry, and I look forward to using my interpersonal skills and my passion for people to make a difference in the Chelan community. I enjoy making people feel welcome and comfortable, providing them with information that will make their interaction with me and the organization a memorable experience.
In the next few months, you are going to see some very exciting things happening downtown like the Downtown Clean-up to celebrate the Chelan Earth Day Fair and the return of Third Thursdays and Music in the Park!
But that’s not all! Aimee and I, along with our board and some seriously amazing committee members, will be focusing on the Economic Vitality of the Historic Downtown as well as Design.
