Come Downtown! Spring has sprung
In downtown Chelan, the month of April acts as the symbolic turning point between the shoulder seasons and the bustling days of summer. Bulky winter coats are tossed aside, tourist activity begins its steady incline, and shops that have hibernated for the winter dust off their “open” signs, acting as the harbinger of sunny days ahead! It just so happens that April arrives this weekend, and with it even more reasons to come downtown:
Friday, April 1st:
April 1st kicks off the much-anticipated return of several downtown Chelan favorites! Come on by and say hello to the following businesses that are back open for the season:
• The Bistro, open for dinner Weds-Sat, 5 pM – 9 PM, and Sunday Brunch from 10 AM – 2 PM. Reservations recommended.
• The Riverwalk Inn and Café, opening the café with its full menu including their signature breakfasts & lunches, and of course the piece-de-resistance: cinnamon rolls nearly the size of your head. Open Fri-Mon, 7 AM – 2 PM.
• Frenchie’s Flutes and Fleurs is back open for business, Fri-Sat, 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM and Sun 11 AM – 4 PM, featuring their wonderful selection of sparkling wines plus all the cutest apparel and home décor you can shake a bouquet at.
• The Ice Cream Parlor at The Landing officially opens for business. Bring the kids and kids-at-heart by for a weekend treat in the sun.
Saturday, April 2nd:
A new season brings some new faces to the neighborhood. Be sure to include the following spots in your Saturday plans:
• Woody’s Classic Man 11 AM – 6 PM: Visiting Woody’s Classic Man is an experience in itself! Featuring men’s apparel, a full bar, and a premier barber experience, this is a one-stop-shop for just about anything the fella in your life might need.
• Willow Chelan 2 PM – 5:30 PM: Willow Chelan is under new ownership! Pop by for their “Open House” in which they will be celebrating their many successful years under Robyn’s ownership and welcoming in Kim as the new owner. Enjoy complimentary cupcakes and bubbly while you shop, plus there will be a gift basket raffle.
• Live Music @ The Landing 8 PM – 10 PM: Every Saturday, The Landing features live music to benefit the Chelan Valley Housing Trust. Enjoy their artisanal flatbreads, salads, beer, wine, cocktails, and more! This is a great excuse to support a new local business while giving back to our great community.
Monday, April 4th:
A new season brings some new faces to the neighborhood. Be sure to include the following spots in your Saturday plans:
• The Lakeview Drive-In returns with its famous burgers, french fries, and shakes. They will be open every day the week of 4/4 from 11 AM – 7 PM and then continue with these hours with the exception of being closed Tuesday/Wednesday until the local schools are out for summer break.
With the sun peeking out and temps forecasted in the low-60s, it’ll be a perfect weekend to say hello to all the new, old, exciting, and familiar faces in town. Come on down and get a taste for what is sure to be the first of many fun spring happenings in Chelan’s historic downtown.
